Please consider joining your fellow Eagles on a wonderful Segway tour of Washington, D.C. This tour is NOT a private tour, but rather a public tour specially selected for our members to register and enjoy together. A 10% discount has already been negotiated in the price when you register on line using the enclosed link. All times are local and designated as the START time for the tour to begin. See below for details about the 10:00 AM tour on Friday.

We will meet in the hotel lobby at 8:00 AM, and travel by hotel shuttle to the Dunn Loring Metro station. From there we will take the Metro to the Foggy Bottom – GWU Metro station, located three blocks from the start of the tour. The tour lasts approximately three hours, after which we will return to the hotel, although those wishing to do so may remain in Washington, D.C. for a little extra sightseeing before returning to the hotel.

Spacing is limited by the tour company to the first 32 Eagles for the 10am tour. Please act quickly to reserve your 10 am spot.

  • Smithsonian Castle – Established by British scientist, James Smithson who sent his fortune in 100 bags of gold for “the increase and diffusion of knowledge”, this building is the first endowment of the Smithsonian Institution which has grown to 15 buildings and complexes.
  • National Galleries of Art – Pieces from the world’s finest artisans over the last 3 centuries are found can be found in the only non-Smithsonian Museum on the National Mall. See the site of one of the Presidential Assassinations most people have never heard of!

689loop[1]Each of our tours begins with a 30-minute orientation session at our office. We will practice on the Segways so that everyone feels comfortable and ready to go out and conquer Washington, DC. The Segway is appropriate for virtually anyone 16 and older. Guests must weigh at least 100 pounds and not in excess of 260 pounds. Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult on the tour and will not be allowed to tour alone . 677loop[1]Unfortunately, anyone under the age of 16 and pregnant women will not be permitted to participate (absolutely no exceptions-if anyone is under 16 they can not ride a segway in DC under any circumstances). Additionally, City Segway Tours has a strict policy against alcohol consumption and Segway operation. Alcohol is forbidden on all Segway tours and any client suspected of drinking before or during a Segway tour will immediately forfeit their tour and no refund will be given.
