Archives 1966-1967
21st Year of the School’s Existence
Information about the Class of 1966-67 is limited because, although there was a Trichter published with Leora Thompson as advisor, there are no extant copies of this volume of the Trichter.
From the yearbook we can generate a few facts. For instance, Luther Skelton was the principal. The yearbook was dedicated to Marvin Wilson. David Brown was elected senior class president. Don Hutchins, who was also named “most studious,” was elected vice president of the seniors. A unique feature of the senior class listing was the use of notable quotations under each head shot and baby pictures.
The Homecoming Queen was Becca Herget. Randy Gelwix was the winner of the USDESEA golf singles title for the second year in a row. A new kind of music group was the Folksingers. The excellent photography in the yearbook was done by Don Yeackle, Don Hutchins, Doug Veith, and Art Liebela.
