Founder NAA

After 11-years of DoDDSS schooling in Frankfurt and Nurnberg, I graduated from Michigan State University, and immediately was drafted #1 from my Draft Board. After graduating from Fixed-Wing Flight School, and type and rating transitions in aircraft, I was ordered to Vietnam for a year, and returned to Randolph AFB outside of San Antonio, TX, to join the 5th U.S. Army Flight Detachment for just under 3-years. I married another former/fellow Army Brat in Atlanta, GA, on June 14th, 1969. We had a daughter and son, who are now both married, and Stephanie has a son and daughter, as well. She has her MBA, and Terry, / JR. has his PhD, and is a professor at the University of Amsterdam in The Netherlands. I recently retired from selling health & life insurance plans to individuals and small groups, because of the ever-changing ObamaCare regulations and waivers. Yvonne retired May 31st 2015 from the Cobb County school system here, and now we both enjoy the Golden Years together, and our grandchildren. God Bless America!

Summer 2002

What an emotional rush of energy, enthusiasm, and happy times we all experienced at the June Gathering of LUCKY Eagles! WOW ! I don’t think a Hollywood scriptwriter could have written anything that would have turned out any better. I guess we shouldn’t expect anything less, though, when 639 paid alumni and faculty members come together to celebrate our collective family reunion, in America’s Number One destination for family vacations these past two years! For those of you who came, THANKS for coming. You MADE it the success that it was. For those of you who couldn’t come this time, hopefully, you’ll try to make it to the 2005 Gathering on the East Coast. These events are just too precious to miss.

Spring 2002

As of April 1, we will only have 80 days left until the Eagles are scheduled to start arriving at the Flamingo Hilton Hotel & Casino, in Las Vegas. Time sure has flown since we left Breckenridge, Y‘all.

I’m sure by now everyone is hurriedly attempting to make arrangements to come to this Gathering of LUCKY Eagles. One 1956 alumnus and class rep, Kent Harrison, is coming Wednesday the 19th, and departing for a family wedding on Friday the 21st, just so he can get to see all of his friends from that era. What a great American, to make that kind of effort. Thanks, Kent.
